A 40-year-old mother is set to marry her own son.  The woman and her son claim to be in love with each other.  And now they want to take their relationship to the next level and get married considering that the mother, Betty Mbereko (from Mwenezi in Masvingo) is now six months pregnant and expecting her son’s child and her grand child.
 Mbereko, 40,  has been a widow for the past 12 years and has been living with her 23-years-old son  Farai Mbereko.
 She confirms that she is six month pregnant and that she has decided it is better to “marry” her son because she does not want to marry her late husband’s young brothers, whom she says are coveting her.
 Betty stunned a village court last week when she said the affair with her son had begun three years earlier.
 She said after spending a lot of money sending Farai to school following the death of her husband, she felt she had a right to his money and no other woman was entitled to it.

A commercial bus driver and his conductor this morning stripped naked at the Allen Avenue/Obafemi Awolowo Way roundabout in Ikeja to prevent some policemen (seen in the pic) from towing their vehicle and arresting them for alleged traffic violation. ASUU ALERT!! Strike continues, Disregards FG’s ‘No Work, No Pay’ Threat

The threat by the Government to implement its ‘no-work, no-pay’ policy has been described as an ‘obsolete familiar threat’ that will not stop the ongoing strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).

ASUU in a press statement yesterday, titled, “ASUU: On Government’s Threat of No-Work, No-Pay”, signed by its chairman, University of Ibadan (UI) chapter, Dr Olusegun Ajiboye, said members of the union have resolved to pursue the strike to a logical conclusion.

Why Suntai Did Not Address Media On Arrival – Associates

Governor Danbaba Suntai of Taraba state on Sunday arrived in Abuja after 10 months of medical treatment abroad after being involved in a plane crash on Oct. 25, 2012.

Mr. Suntai did not talk to the media but some of his associates, who were at the airport, said he was “mentally alert” and fit to recognize people by names.

Daniel Ihekina, the teenage stowaway who was arrested at the Lagos Airport after flying in the tyre hole of an Arik plane from Benin to Lagos on Saturday morning, thought he would be taken to the US.

“From what we heard, the boy said he was being maltreated and tried to escape from his parents. He thought he was on his way to the US. The parents have traveled to Lagos by road, to get him back.”

Despite the restores peace at Bodija Market in Ibadan after a clash between Yoruba and Hausa traders, the Yoruba people  have vowed to remain around the market despite its closure by the authorities of Ibadan North Local Government.
