The popularly
University called University of Ado-Ekiti aka known as UNAD which was renamed
to Ekiti State University (EKSU) found his peaceful environment distorted. The
Emmanuel Alayande Oyo Campus chapter gate was locked owing to the protesting
Students of this honourable Institution.
We gathered that
the Students were protesting against the recent hike in their tuition fees
which broke the three-figures bar, #70,000+ - #100,000+. Also it was brought to
our notice too that the students were
writing their exams when the untimely and inconsiderate near private institution price tag came to their hearing.

Many kept
wondering what may have led to this non-Asuu factor, but the truth cannot be
far-fetched that the students were protesting for their rights as they were
making the management see their plight. Unfortunately, the students were not
only beaten if seen around the school entrance but also threatened by the
presence of the Mobile policemen popularly called Mopol. Reports has it that NCE students are protesting too..
One of the
students that pleaded anonymity told us that “not only that they can bear the
price but also what kind of university will inform her students negatively
during exam period when their mental hub is mostly needed- ” Other comments
includes: “we wont pay” “mopol or no mopol we will protest. See the protesting pictures below……leave your
