Striker Iheanacho and goalkeeper Alampsu both claimed top gongs at the end of the 2013 FIFA Under-17 World Cup in the United Arab Emirate (UAE), in form of the Adidas Golden Ball Award and the Golden Gloves Award respectively as Nigeria clinched a record fourth title at the biennial showpiece.
“On behalf of FIFA, I would like to congratulate you once again on winning the Adidas Golden Ball Award (Iheanacho); Golden Gloves (Alampsu) at this year’s FIFA’s U-17 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates for the best player of the tournament,” Sandra Marfurt, head of special events and guest management of the FIFA, wrote.

Meanwhile both invitees have expressed delights over the invitation extended to them by the organisers of the magnificent world football award show.

“I’m so happy with the invitation from FIFA and I have to thank God for this recognition,” Alampsu noted.
